VTAC vs TROY TRX vs ???

Hey guys,
I'm putting together a recce rifle and I'm trying to decide which free float rail to put on the BCM Mid-length.
I'm not putting anything other than perhaps an AFG and an RSA (if they ever get released) on the rail, so I don't think I need a quad rail.
My only concern with the troy or the vtac rail is the amount of heat that I'll come in contact with while shooting.

The most ammo I've ever burned at one time was 200 rounds, (yeah, it's pathetic) but it would be nice to be able to take a class and be able to burn 600+ rounds per day with no pain.

Thoughts?

You shouldnt have any problems with heat. Many people do some serious shooting with these rails and have no problems.

Friend of my ran the VTAC and had no problem with heat, etc. (FWIW, he just switched th the TRX).

I like the PRI tubes and the Apex/Blackheart tubes. My next upper I'm going with the Blackheart rifle length.

I where someone said on another thread that the 7.5(?) TRX extreme wouldn't fit on an upper with FSB but that a 7.2 would.

Does anyone know this to be the case with the 9 in?
