    SOG ARMORY

    I am in the process of getting an AR15 from a company out of houston tx called SOG ARMORY. i was wondering if anyone has heard of this company or knew any details about thier rifles? my buddy is a dealer and said nothing but good thigns, but i want outside opinions too.

    i thought so too but that is not what i am paying and from what i was told the rifles are MPI and HPT tested.
    plus its set up pretty much just like i want it only missing a few things

    Any company that claims a certain barrel steel, HPT/MP, ask to see proof.

    they are well known in the Houston area for being liars.

    at that price point or even a couple hundred less; there is no reason why I would not go with someone more reputable.

    I have seen DPMS LPKs sitting next to their lowers at gun shows; I cannot say thats what they use in their lowers.. but...

    I've seen their stuff at gun shows. They don't stake their endplates. That should tell you all you need to know. You can and should get a known-quantity rifle from a reputable manufacturer for the same or less money.

    If you pay $1800 for that, you are getting ripped off. Badly.

    For the $$, you could easily have an LMT, BCM, DD, whatever. Plus maybe even an Aimpoint and mount (or at least a good chunk of money towards same)
