Anyone interested in a NIB Pre-70 Colt 1911?

Logged onto GB today and saw this listing. Just an FYI for anyone that might be interested in a relatively rare find:

With 914 transactions, an A+ rating, and the fact that he deals primarily with vintage Colts, I'd say he's probably being honest that it's new/unfired.

    That's an oxymoron

The gun does not have a box.

How can the OP and the seller say it is NIB?

Why even bother starting a thread like this?

I simply mentioned the seller's title of the listing, I never said it was NIB myself. It's much easier than writing an essay-style post like

"Hey guys, here's a link to a new-but-without-the box pre-1970's 1911. The seller says it's NIB, even though it doesn't come with a box. He probably used NIB since that's the most common search phrasing for 'new' on GB and wanted to make sure that the otherwise new gun appeared in searches for new guns. He has over 900 completed transactions and deals primarily with vintage Colts, so he looks legit."

I assumed the average person was intelligent enough to extract that information without having to disclaim it myself as an otherwise uninterested 3rd party. Obviously, I was mistaken and there's at least one person who's too stupid here to extract that information themselves. I'll dumb it down for them next time.

Your original title of this thread that you edited at 2:01 PM said NIB.

In addition to thinking, we'll add reading to the list of things you apparently can't do:

I simply mentioned the seller's title of the listing, I never said it was NIB myself.
For that matter, it may not even be Pre-70's. I simply used the description the seller provided. The seller said it was NIB and, minus the packing, it does appear new, therefore I simply called it what they called it. I've already stated that twice now. I edited the title because YOU made a big deal about it. In hindsight, I'm not sure why I tried to appease your OCD, as it's obvious you can't even read at this point.
