Yes it's multi cam kydex .... I think they call it supercam since it's not licensed. I got mine at knifekits.com others have it also.

Think i'm gonna venture into an AR mag carrier. I was looking at my PMags but was thinking of using a standard USGI mag for the mold.

Any suggestions, thoughts, or input guys?

I've molded from both and they will work with each other. You could use masking take if you want it to look more generic.

On second thought it's hard to see the detail int he photos.

I'm worried about the "humps" on the sides of the PMags locking the mag in the kydex. If I were to use a USGI mag this wouldn't be an issue. I played around with some .080" multicam and had the above issue with it locking in place. With .060" I think the kydex would flex enough for an easy draw but want the same for .080".

Just not sure what I want to do.................

Been there..... wrap blue painters tape around the pmag... especially aournd the "humps" If you still have to much retention you can hit it with the heat gun a little. I also make mine with a band around the top that comes right to the first hump and it also helps.

How is the retention of a PMag in a USGI molded carrier? I know with the one PMag .080" carrier it's really tight but will support a M&P 15-22 mag very well.
