Hornady 5.56 75 gr Superformance Match?

Anybody have any performance info on this new ammo? Is the projectile the old 75 gr BTHP, the T2, or is this Advanced Manufacturing Process[1] producing a new projectile? In 5.56 NATO loadings, it would be worth looking into...

    Thanx!

    Sounds like a new round.

Anyone have a source for this stuff? Google didn't turn anything up for me...

Looks to me like the .223 loadings match existing NATO loadings (2900+ fps from 24" test barrel).

I thought I'd read not to use this in piston guns though, the new propellants aren't piston friendly. Maybe that applies to just Garands and M-1's, but something to be aware of.

So this one should be a little faster, since it's a 5.56? They're claiming 100-200 fps faster than conventional.

That's the way I take it. The .223 version ought to approximate/equate to current NATO offerings and the NATO offering ought to dial it up another notch or two.

Where do they list a loading with the 75 AMAX? I see there is 75gr 5.56 load, and a 75gr .223 load, but they're both with the BTHP bullet. Under normal circumstances the 75 AMAX can't be loaded to mag length for an AR15.

EDIT: I see what you're looking at. It's not saying there's a 75 AMAX load available, it's simply a link to the page where they have their AMAX bullets. The Superformance 75gr load is only sold with the BTHP bullet.
