You shouldn't worry about the accuracy, one reason I chose the Rainier Arms barrel is their accuracy guarantee, if it doesn't shoot they'll take it back and additionally I bought it from Brownells so if I'm not happy with it, they'll take it back too. That being said, this barrel is living up to the guarantee, I'm getting consistent sub-MOA groups with factory match shooting 77 SMK's. The last regional DMR match that I shot in I nailed a 10" bonus plate at about 445 yards shooting from the sitting off a tie down strap and ended up placing first.

    try this one:

    Upper Assembly:

Krieger 20" HCM Hbar 1-7.7 twist barrel chambered in .223 Remington
    SLR Rifleworks adjustable gas block
Rock river Arms 15.5 inch TRO Series FF hand guard
DPMS Lo-Pro Heavy Duty slick side upper receiver ('bout 30% thicker than a standard forged upper)
Rubber City Armory nitrided bolt carrier
    Young Manufacturing National Match bolt
    BCM Gunfighter ambi charging handle

    Lower Assembly:

    Sig Sauer M400 lower
    Magpul PRS stock
Taccom ultra low mass buffer system
    Wolff Gun springs action spring
Geissle National Match Hi Speed trigger
    Ergo grip

    Glass:

    Millet LRS-1 5-25X

so far, i have only be able to shoot out to 100 yards. still doing some bullet/load development, but with 53 gr Sierra Matchkings and 55 gr Sierra BlitzKings, it's shooting consistent .50" or so 5 shot groups at 100. it also likes the 69gr and 77gr MatchKings. looking forward to trying those to shoot out to 500 or 600 yards.

Good to hear about Rainer. I'll be building up a CMMG lower I just got over the winter. Rainer is on my list of possibles.

well, i gotta admit, this post is to brag a little. been trying different bullets and powders in the Krieger, and i think i finally hit on a winning combo, at least for 100 yards.

55 gr Berger HPBT match flat base bullets on top of 21.0 to 21.4 grains of Reloader 7. all 5 shots at 100 yards. groups were .29", .45", .61", .55". the last group without my induced flyer was 4 shots @ .170"! I guess AR's can shoot up there with the bolt guns. i am a happy camper.

They don't make that one anymore do they? What is the overall length it adds to your barrel?
