Steel ammo question - how much before you say G2G

    Have a S&W M&P 15 rifle...

Picked up 200rnds of wolf steel ammo and figured if I ran all of it and had no issues I would be good to go. The only issue I had was one round simply did not fire...bad round. I got the barrel hot before I even started with the steel by running 75-100 brass rounds down her. Shot another 60rnds of brass after the 200 to see if there was any issues after the fact.

Would my thinking be correct in that the rifle will eat steel cased ammo for the most part? Love the fact I did not have one single issue.

Yup, g2g. It's good knowing your rifle can eat anything you feed it.

I say good to go, especially since you fired brass, steel, then brass again which is known to cause FTE's.
