According to Grant, the only person I know of that has seen a complete LMT rifle so far, the complete guns do not have an H.

This is corrrect. Carbine buffers in the complete LMT's that I have gotten.

Were these 14.5" or 16" guns?

I would think that LMT would ship standard carbine buffers in their 10.5" barreled guns due to the port size they use because the H buffer can cause problems in a 10.5" LMT barreled upper if it's not running a pig or a can.

As a Civy, you cannot buy a complete 14.5". Only PD can do that. Those MAY come with H buffers, but don't know.

So do I take that to mean that the complete LMT guns you have/had were only 16" guns?

    Thanks for the clarification.

It's kind of a shame that they are shipping standard buffers in a 16" gun, the barrel length that most benefits from a heavy buffer.
At least it's an easy part to change, but the point is that you should not HAVE to change something on a new gun...

I think they ship with CAR buffers because they run their gas ports on the small side.

Not the 14.5" and 16" barrels.
Those run at normal size, which CAN benefit from heavier buffers.

Don't the current production 6920s use mil-spec (small) receiver pins? I thought Colt had changed from large pin to small pin a couple of years back.
