Ever run MK262 through your BM?

I have reamed a good number of BM chambers and found them to generally be 223 wylde.

Another ugly fact about some BM barrels is that either the threads on the barrel are off center or the barrel was reamed off center. Why this is important is because if you want to mount a can on the barrel, you may just find that you will have to replace the can after one shot (as you have a new exit hole). :-(

I usually run the Winchester or Lake City 5.56x45mm M855 SS109 ammunition. Never had a problem with it.

You got a good one appears. The true test however is MK262.

223 Wylde has more generous body dimensions than a 5.56 NATO.
It's mostly the throat and chamber length where they differ.
The throat is where the accuracy is.
The chamber length and body dimensions is where the reliability is.

Yes I am aware of this. It is really hard to say what chambers some of the "556 NATO" chambers actually are so the 223 wylde chamber is simply a guess. They could be .223 or who knows.

Also according to CMMG some of the items that are listed as options are standard.

I guess I am not familiar with that ammunition. I'm willing to give it a shot though. If my Bushmaster doesn't like it, my Colt should handle it fine.

    Well...
I picked up a hotplate for the shop so I can start documenting chamber dimensions.
Within a few months, I should have more data.
