velocity , 55gr. FMJ , out a 18.5'' barrel ?

anyone happen to know ? what velocity i can expect with 55 grain FMJ, out of an 18.5'' barrel ?

i have some federal XM193F ammo.

I would guess somewhere on the order of 3400 fps

Average full power 55gr ammo shot throught 18" AR barrels typically is 2900-3100fps.

Figure about 50 FPS loss for each inch of barrel removed. Not exact, but close enough considering the variance in available M193.

I would say 3200 FPS for a 20" barrel and you are looking at 3100 - 3050 FPS+ would be an educated guess.
