Green front is all amazon had and will be fine although I would have preferred the orange ring.
My trigger breaks very heavy and is more noticeable when dry firing while watching the front sight. My Shield is much better. May need an Apex DCAEK in this full size to keep that front sight from twitching.

You may want to try this first... I havnt done it, but may just to soften to wall before the break to aid in fast shooting. I think I may move the gun a little when mashing the trigger.

I measured my pistols trigger pulls with a Shimano digital fish scale last night and...

M&P Shield 9 comes in at a non gritty 4.6lbs
M&P9F at a gritty 7.2lbs
XD9 Service a mushy 5.1lbs
RIA 1911 at crisp 5.1lbs


I'm sure the fish scale is fairly accurate and tested each gun several times for an average. I really want that Shield trigger in my FS. Thanks for the Burwell link but it's not for me. I ordered an Apex DCAEK from Amazon and if I don't like it I can send it back for a refund and try an Apex FSS.

Well, I got rid of my M&P9 PRO 5". Older model. Top M&P, Middle Pro 4.25 was replaced by a LEO 4.25 from Grant at Christmas.

Ordered an M&P9L from Grant. APEX Poly Trigger, Ultimate Striker Block and Sear with Grant putting a polish job internally.
