    new Colt I put together

This is one of 2 good things that happened to me this weekend (the other being that I placed 1st in Limited at the North Mountain USPSA match). The 2 bad things = a lady backed into my vehicle on Friday morning. And I got rear ended Sunday night sitting at a stop light and the driver who hit me took off without stopping (the police found the vehicle but not the driver).

It's not really a Frankengun, it's mostly Colt, (non Colt parts are BCM bolt, LMT cam pin & firing pin, VLTOR stock assy w/CMT H2 buffer).

I did some horse trading this weekend and got a new unfired Colt 6920 upper (minus the carry handle and BCG). On another trade I got a very lightly used Colt 6721 complete lower (minus the stock) and Colt carry handle. I had a lightly used Colt M16 carrier in my toolbox with a new unused BCM bolt, LMT cam & firing pin. I installed a new VLTOR stock and a new CMT H2 buffer (and properly staked it). I disassembled the barrel from the upper last night and removed the flash hider because I don't trust even Colt to get the torque values correct, and then reinstalled everything. I did have to use a different crush washer because it was going to take too much torque for alignment for my liking (I like them torqued to 15ft lbs or less).

Here it is, my first Colt koolaid (tastes like licorice )

Updated pic after I added my Aimpoint C3 (2MOA) w/LaRue LT150 mount and LaRue BUIS.

Looks great! Basic carbine always fits the bill.

That hit and run driver was either drunk, had a warrant or both.

Thats perfect dude. I have always loved the 920 platform but much prefer the markings on the 6721 lowers...very nice and still all Colt.

Very nice for a "MUTT". One day I'll have spare parts like that.

There has to be a better name than Frankencolt or mutt, something horsey.

    Nice carbine.
