    ?? about middy dwel time.

Okay, just curious about this so I was wondering if you all could set me straight. As I understand it (which might be wrong, and would not be the first time) assuming equal gas port size, a 16" middly will have more gas going back into the chamber/BCG because it has more dwell time after the gas port than a 14.5" middy. Am I correct in this assumption?

The main reason I ask, is that I have a BCM 16" LW middy and while I have shot it for about fifty rounds with an H buffer, I have been primarily running a carbine buffer in it. After reading the thread about the 14.5" BCM middys, I was thinking about keeping my H buffer in the gun. I assume that if the 14.5" with less gas pressure runs an H buffer, even with lower powered ammo, my 16" would be just fine. I am also running an AAC Brakeout if that makes any difference.
