I just checked my three AR's for carrier screw staking .... my 1991 Colt Hbar and R6450 are perfectly staked just like in phoric's picture. My Two year old Stag upper just has chisel marks on the top on two sides of the screw. I have about 2K on the Stag and so far I can not see evidence of the screws loosening. Colt is doing it right .... Stag/CMT has NO excuses and should get onboard. Harold H.

That's a great stake job! I don't think those screws are moving any time soon.

New BCM bcg. Is this staking adequate? It doesn't look as good as the other BCM bcg that I have.

    DPMS

The BCG just came out of my new DPMS Lite 16 Model RFA2-L16.

Impressed with the over all build of this rifle. The M4 feed ramps are also well done.
The stock bolt looks good too.... however I am replacing it with a BMC .

For $650.00 I couldn't seem to pass her up and throw it in my tool box. (more like the back of my Tundra)
