It goes back even farther than that, to the release of the GSR 1911 and the Mosquito.

    Both.

Along with them getting on the bandwagon of the "piston AR15"

Most real people that matter, believe a "piston AR15" is a fundamentally flawed concept.

Not to mention the P250. My dumbass bought one as an impulse buy for some reason shortly after they came out. What a piece of garbage that thing was. Sig's QC is severely lacking these days.

Showing my ignorance again. I will have to do research on the piston AR. Not because I am interested in them, especially after what you guys have said about them being crap. I haven't even heard about these. I told you I didn't know much about this stuff. lol

All I know is how to take it apart, clean it, load it and make it go 'bang'.

    op,
problems with the sig long gun line up include poor qc, accuracy issues, and unrefined characteristics common to yugo ak47s. For $500, the sig line of rifles would make complete sense, but not for the price they charge, not at all.

sig is quickly evolving into the next taurus. I'm a sig p line owner and this change saddens me, but when you stop investing in r&d and instead place that money into advertisement, well, you've killed your company name.

piston ar's are more of a niche rifle for most, and they don't receive a lot of happiness around here but that is not to say they don't have their merit. Regardless, that discussion is neither here nor there.

Yep, total POS. Ergonomics and styling of a brick.

If Eugene Stoner wanted the AR to be a 'piston' gun he would have made it one nearly 50yrs ago.
Adding pistons to ARs is akin to adding spark plugs to a diesel engine.
