Military/Tactical Watch Recommendations?

Questions on G-Shock's...where are they manufactured, how can you tell via the model number, is one superior in quality to the other, and which ones self adjust to the Atomic Observatory time? Also, do any of them keep track of current lat/long positions?

G Shocks are made in the China Casio plant with Japanese parts. There are about a million variations, so look for the Atomic Solar ones. AFAIK, there are no GPS equipped G Shocks, MAYBE the Rangeman?

Thanks for that info LSHD...arent some models made in USA and/or Japan? Im just loathe to buy a china made watch.

I think the G Shock is the way to go for simple durability. A few questions:

1.Is the frogman worth the price to get ISO certified dive tool?

2.for the 6900 series, solar or not? I like the blackout battery models but the solar is attractive from a battery life standpoint.

FYI-I got a response on Amazon from a seller that G Shocks are made in Thailand, with Jap parts, and none are USA made...even tho some are described as such by Amazon.
