What has to be engraved on your SBR?

Another question about polymers. I'm about to get a M&P 15-22 and think it would a fun little SBR, since this gun is all polymer where would the engraving go? On the barrel?

It's supposed to be not readily modifiable, so it would have to be engraved on a metal part of the firearm.
