In testing from a 1/9 16" barrel I get about 1-1.5" at 25 yards using Winchester 555 Bulk.
A lot depends on the barrel and ammo choice.
I used a .223 1/9 match barrel and got pretty consistant 1" and less at 25 yards.

I have a parkerized CMMG .22LR conversion kit and use it in a S&W M&P15T (1:9). At 25 yards it'll shoot 1.5" groups using the bulk Winchester ammo I get at Walmart. More than acceptable IMO.

I am really glad I purchased the conversion kit as it allows me to do a lot more shooting than my budget allows when shooting .225/5.56 only.

I purchased the kit and 3 CMMG magazines for ~$100 new. I had 2 stovepipes during the first 50 round break-in and not a single malfunction thereafter - I've put about 1,500 rounds through it so far.
