14.5 midlength with UCIW recoil system.

I'm planning a new project using an LWRCI UCIW recoil system and wasn't sure if I would have any issue using a 14.5" midlength barrel (most like a BCM enhanced lightweight). Any reason this might be a questionable combination or should it be no different than using a 14.5 midlength with a standard carbine recoil system?

My experience is the UCIW is under weight/buffered by comparison to an H buffer.
You'll be good with the 14.5" mid length. Things like a 10.3" barrel or a suppressed gun would be problematic.

A lot can depend on gassing of the selected barrel, ammunition used, and if a can may be involved. The small buffer has limited mass capacity in terms of buffering mass capacity, buffer weights, not buffer body plus weights. There is good reason that buffers use light bodies and increased mass in the buffer weights.
Anyone measure the L1 and L2 loads of the UCIW springs provided?

I built a 14.5" MLGS with the Ultra Compact Stock kit for a friend, and it runs without a hitch so far.
