To paraphrase "Risky Business", This is what you want...it's what every boy wants."

I've never done a 3 lug on a "K" model and I'm not sure how it attaches. Doesn't seem like there is much to thread onto and that would be my concern. But S&H Arms does offer the service and they aren't know for "goofball" gunsmithing. But as there is no way to do it "factory correct" with the rifling going all the way to the front of the three lug I decided to just do a "K" sidefolder.

If you want a full size MP5 type start with a MKE P model and have it SBRd. Beware that most people simply thread on an adapter. If you are going to do it, have it done correctly with rifling all the way to the front of the 3 lug.

By the way, all the "crap" on the barrel is suppressor residue. I also wouldn't bother remarking the gun, it's not German HK so it really doesn't make any sense.

What have these been going for lately?

I'm still mad at myself for missing out on these when they came out. Hopefully they can still be found for less than a custom built parts kit.

Guy at the top of the page found his K for 1500 which was retail a few years back (but you could usually find them cheaper).

As I understand it there will be NO third import so that's it, over and done with. I'd say if you can find one in the 1500 range and can afford to buy it, do so immediately. Won't take very long for these to climb to 75-80% of the value of a real HK just like the FMP and Greek contract rifles did.

Easier said than done. I have been looking for some time, and gave up. Then I go to the gunshow and Voilà. It's like what my Momma told me about Love (the day you don't look..........haha)...

Finding a P model will take a miracle.

Just gonna have to watch Gunbroker and Sturm like a hawk. They pop up from time to time.

I think I need another so I can have Ralph build a SD on it.

    I did it.

I should also say that I fixed that "A3 dip" shortly after this pic was taken by building up the internal diameter of the stock cap with JB weld and then simply mortaring the stock.

It's super solid now, and much easier than all the crazy pinching methods I was hearing about on TOS.

(though I know it will come back a little bit with use)

Also worth noting is that the value of these went THROUGH THE ROOF as soon as this letter dropped:

I'm casually in the market for a sear now...

What caused the dip? My A3 stock fit perfectly without issues?

    It's a beater stock.

Just like an AK, no matter how solid it is from the factory, it will develop some wobble over time with hard use.

Fixed stocks do too... it's a flaw of the single attachment point design.
