The only thing Ive noticed is that the narrowest notch of the rear castle sight appears to have been cut improperly. The notch is slightly angled rather than straight up and down.

Replace it with a standard MP5 rear sight, you will be much happier.

I said standard, not real.

The MP5k/SP89 and variants (except for the PDW) use a castle notch type rear sight.



The standard MP5 sight is the peep diopter sight.



It is a much better sight picture.

I actually kind of dig the HK drums with the v-notch setting. Pretty good if you want to run a red dot low.

Sorry for the misquote, and I missed it being a K/89, and not standard. I just picked up a P version and it had standard sights so I confused.

Do you mean the G3/33 sight with the V notch and the 3 peeps? If so I agree that is offers a very practical setup. But I hate the K/89 4 box notch sights.

I've got a spare set of HK416 sights, going to replace the drum on one of them with a G3/HK33 drum when I get my MR556 upper cut down.
