If the overall length from barrel threads back is 26 inches or greater then you can. It's been discussed multiple times in this same thread

Here's the link to the letter the ATF sent Franklin Armory on VFGs and pistols. Apparently, with a pistol >26", adding a VFG magically transforms it into a mysterious yet still legal creature called a "firearm", which is not a pistol or rifle.

    Gents, quick question:

Just finished an Ar Pistl build and noticed the charging handle is hitting the KAK Pistol brace, so I am not able to charge it all the way back unless I config the brace a bit away. In my regular rifle with regular stock, the charging handle does not do that, any possible reason ?

    Thanks

I don't have a KAK brace, but could you be pressing down on the charging handle as you are pulling back?

Try pulling upward as you pull back. I have seen this with other stocks, so I thought I would add .

I am able to charge it all the way back by pulling up... But kinda weird since my 16' does not have that problem. Will this be basically the only fix? Or you know another one? Thanks btw.
