I was looking at the Viking Tactics site and was wondering if the improvements on the upgraded VTAC sling are good enough for me to sell my current padded VTAC and get the upgraded model. Anyone here ever done a direct comparison between the two models?

Well, I have had my thumb catch the tension release cord loop while trying to grab the tension pull tab a couple times during drills. It happens rarely, but I may upgrade soon. I believe having the stiff rubber backer attached to the tension tab could, potentially, make a difference.
