I would like to know if it is possible to take a carbine length rifle and gas tube and change it to a mid-length by just swapping out the tubes and moving the front sight the extra length of the longer tube? Thank you all in advance for your responses and advice.

It was a question no need for everyone to get all upset, didn't say I was going to do it I was just asking if it could be done. I hope to some day have as much knowledge as it seems most of you all do, but I would hope that if asked a question I would have the ability to help that person learn without insulting them. Just saying.
