    Vickers Tactical Carbine 1 & 2 video buyers/potential customers

    I just wanted to reach out and say a few things reference the videos- here goes;

By and large the feedback has been super positive - thanx alot
As far as the videos themselves the intent from the beginning was to give shooters the fundamentals of effectively running a carbine- it is NOT intended to replace a formal class - for under $100 and 90 minutes there is no way to replace a $450 to $650 2 day or 3 day class taught by me personally

What is on those DVD's may look simple - trust me it is not. They are proven and vetted techniques that took me years (actually decades) to learn and perfect with untold thousands of hours on the range by myself or with students - my advice is practice what you see on the video then sign up for a class - you will be way ahead of the power curve and will have by passed alot of time and headache ( as well as $$) by employing my lessons learned - from that perpective ( which was the intent of the video series) the purchase price is a bargain

For those of you who are having menu selection problems call DD direct so they can fix it and get you a corrected copy

Hope you enjoy them - now put them in to practice and I will see you at the range

    Cheers

    LAV

Thanks for dropping by and posting Larry. I personally cant wait for my Blu Ray set to get in. I just want to thank you for taking the time out of your already busy schedule to make the videos. Your on my short list of courses to attend, but this will suffice for now and give those of us who can't attend a course just yet, a baseline to practice from. Take care and have a good one.

Larry, thanks for putting these together. I just finished two of your classes last weekend, and though I have not yet arrived home since the classes due to business travel, I know that they have been delivered and are there waiting for me at home. I am looking forward to them helping me to practice what you taught in class. This will be a great training aid and reinforcement to all those you teach. I believe it will make practicing those critical fundamentals even more effective. Thanks again.

These are perfect for my use. Taking some Hard Chargers across the Pond soon and will be using these to keep growing Skills. All we have unless there is a LAV carbine class going on overseas.....

I assume this means the videos have been released for purchase? Any idea when Brownells will receive their shipment? I pre-ordered my set thru them. Thanks for the info.

    Stay safe,
    Nick

    Larry,

Thanks for making the videos available, I just ordered carbine 1&2 that Bravo Company has listed in stock.

I will use them as reference material for the class you taught here in CT last October and a primer for future instruction with you.

I'm guessing LAV is no longer watching this thread, but maybe someone else who's attended one of his classes can answer. Having watched the Carbine II DVD I was curious as to the use of barricades. As demonstrated, the technique was to basically lean out (slightly) from behind cover. I was taught (by instructors with a similar background) that doing a quick pie was a better choice as frequently one may able to shoot the opponent without him even seeing you. As I recall, I think the explanation by LAV was that his demonstrated technique quicker, but I wondered if there was more to it than that. I can't get over thinking I'd rather be very slightly slower if it allows me to not expose my upper body/head to fire.

    where??

I just read this thread and am interested in Larry's videos. Are they still available, and if they are, where can they obtained.

I looked on his site, but could not find them.
Also looked on Brownell's but could not find them.

I realize this is an old thread, but hoping they are still available.

    TIA
