    American Eagle 147 grain 9mm

does anyone shoot a lot of this stuff? I've been buying reman 147 grain from Atlanta Arms at ~$280 shipped and it looks like I can get the AE for $215 shipped. I'm shooting the AA stuff because it has a light recoil and still makes power factor for USPSA minor and for IDPA. Anyone know how the AE might compare? Assume the AE is subsonic?

And before anyone gives me shit about "light recoil" 9mm, I have a right arm injury that makes my arm and hand recoil sensitive so I need lighter loads to be able to shoot for any amount of time.

The Atlanta Arms ammo shoots softly for sure. In my hands I feel the American Eagle has a little more recoil, but not enough to pass up on that deal.

I shoot 147gr for IDPA; both Fiocchi and AE. I can attest to around 2K rounds of AE through a G19 & G34 as well as 5K+ of 147gr Fiocchi without any issues through the same guns. Its pretty much all I buy accept when they have the 158gr. Fiocchi SS that also functions perfectly in those guns. The AE 147gr feels (read no technical data) comparable to the Fiocchi 147 & both feel lighter than the 124gr Dynamit Nobel.

I have chronoed a box of AE 147 through my old G17 (now gone) makes 130 PF average.

    Atlanta Arms 147 FMH reloads:
    G34, 135 PF (933-944) FPS
    G17, 129 PF (875-883) FPS
G19 barely made 126 PF but good enough temp that day was about 65 degrees. I would be hard pressed to use it in a match as my G19 is my back up gun for matches.

I tailor my 9mm reloads (124 FMJ's) to make 136 PF out of the G34 and they will easily do 130 out of the G19.
