    Complete AR pistols

After reading Sumsky's thread, I very interested in an AR pistol with 7.5" barrel. I've narrowed it down to 3.

Complete Spike's Tactical AR pistol with BAR rail system

Complete Noveske Diplomat? 7.5" barrel and rails

Complete Rainier 7.5" upper with rails on a lower.

I live in CA, so it need to come in as a complete pistol

    Comp: Levang, KX3, or Battlecomp?

Which is the best bargain for the money? Plan to use as a fun gun also, but possible HD. I do have a 9mm pistol.

Find the thread "State of the AR Pistol" and read up before you buy. Ballistics of 5.56 from a 7.5" barrel are inadequate for HD.

You can't have a semi auto pistol in CA that has the mag outside of the grip.

I will have a bullet button on this and a sled so it will only be a single shot only configuration when I pick it up. Sorry for the confusion.

Dude, seriously? If you already have a decent 9mm pistol, USE THAT as your defensive piece.

Templar, that was awesome info on the frangible. I guess I'll keep the 9mm as a defensive piece. AR pistol for fun. But want to know which is the best bang for the buck.

Why would you use a single shot pistol for HD?

There are 223/5.56 loads that will have much better terminal performance out of a 10.5" barreled AR than pistol calibers. The thing is I'd much rather have a shoulder fired carbine for better accuracy OR a smaller pistol for concealing. The AR pistol does neither of those well so it's usefulness is pretty limited.

CA AR pistol needs to be setup as a single shot when received, but once received, you can make it a semi auto. We can't have SBRs, so an AR pistol is the next best thing. 10.5" barrel sounds great, but as a pistol, wouldn't it be too uncomfortable and very front heavy? I don't have local shops around to hold and feel a 10.5" barrel pistol.

10.5" would feel unbalanced. The 7.5" has much better balance.
Use HP, soft points or best is the Barnes tri shock for a 7.5" as HD.

I do agree that I will grab my 9mm Glock before my SBR's unless there is some real serious stuff going on.
