Is there a Colt lightweight with flat top upper?

Maybe I'm not looking the right place, but I'd love to find a lightweight Colt (all Colt) AR-15 rifle that has a flat top upper. Right now all I seem to find are lightweights (pencil barrel) that have the standard upper, not flat top.

I'd love to get one of the new monolothic rail Colts (they have flat tops) but I think you can only get them in M4 barrel (.750) configurations, not lightweight pencil barrels.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Colt 6720. It's a new model.

Sweet - maybe eventually they'll make a lightweight model pencil with the mono rail.

Yes, a 6940 with pencil barrel would be sweet.

    A 14.5" 6720 with a proper F-marked FSB would be a nice option.

At $1,199 the price isn't bad at all. I hadn't planned to buy another carbine, but a Colt with a flat top and a lightweight barrel may be too tempting to pass on.

An all factory Colt to boot.

I'd personally dump the Matech sight and go with a quality fixed or folding rear buis of your choice, and an Aimpoint Micro.

That would be a very slick, very lightweight set up.

Templar just caused me to wish I could work everyday of the week for a month so I could rush out and buy that Colt!

Same plans I have for mine... although I am entertaining the idea of an EXPS for the 6720 as my 6933 has a 553 on it. Until I can decide on an optic I've simply ditched the Matech for the carry handle that came with the 6933. Actually looks pretty damn good and simple that way.
