Can't click on the link to sig552commando.com either cause I would love to look at these...

Looks like ATF is simply gonna wave the magic "compliance wand" like they did with the DOJ HK94s. Then it is just a matter of making a Title I compliant firearm, and much to my amazement it even seems you could then re-register it as a domestic SBR that would be 100% Swiss SIG.

    Go figure.

There aren't any US parts in these.

These were imported for LE use and somewhere along the way they were surplused out and then can be sold to the civilian market.

Same thing as the HK94s from the CDOJ.

Crap, now what can I sell to get 4k together?

Seriously are we really sure that we can just re-register them NFA and SBR off the fake can. Just seems too simple & really expensive..

Shocked the hell out of me too. But once it is a Title I gun it is no different from an HK94.

You'll have to contact him by email at the moment since he hasn't posted any info about it yet. I don't yet have clearance for NFA items so hopefully that will come soon, but I'm not sure if sbr'ing is going to be legit. I didn't get to ask that question just yet but general consensus at the moment is that it may revert back to pre-86 status if that is done. If I hear from the owner, I'll post but please let me know if you get a definitive answer as well.
You can't have NFA in New York.

Can someone repost the link to where these are being sold? I cant seem to open up the page.....

Of course these would have to come out when I don't have 4K laying around. Maybe they will still be available in a few months when I do have the cash (lol).....this sucks monkey balls.....

That would be true except there are exemptions for LEO's and peace officers. Military as well but only if used during their duties.

Perhaps, but then it won't belong to you, it will belong to whatever agency bought it and signed for it.

This was debated in a NY thread already. LEO's can individually own but must sell NFA items or move out of state upon separation from the dept. Peace officers can have them if they meet certain requirements. Only military is affected by the "duty use only" nonsense. This was confirmed by supervisors in the NFA division. We should stay on topic.
