LMT MWS 308 Bolt Carrier Finish Chipping Off

Mine is comming off also, the rifle shoots much better than me. overall I am very happy with the rifle and the system...every new product has some sort of issues when they first come out.

I already have a RMA number and shipping it back this week

1-75 Ranger, I am just glad to see that LMT is making it right for the owners of the MWS rifles. And letting you, me & others exchange out the BCG's for new ones.

I agree that usually newer systems have teething problems. But I think the one thing that upsets people the most is that it seems that the UK contract MWS dont have this issue. It makes you think that they knew the coating used for civies was inferior and deciced to use a diferent one or a diferent method for the mil ones.

Gosh, after reading this thread, I hope that this problem is isolated. I have shot 130 rounds through mine and there may be more than that ( I bought used) through the rifle. No chrome flaking yet that I have seen. Crossing my fingers...........
It is also disappointing to see that the remedy that LMT is giving to owners is also not particularly ideal.

LMT states that the new carriers are indeed still hard Chromed.
