SD Ammo: narrowed down to 3...help me pick

After reading as much as my brain can suck up for the week, I'm getting closer to making a choice for self-defense ammo. I have not purchased SD ammunition before so I'm going mostly on recommendations from seasoned AR shooters

Rifle: CMMG 16" Carbine 1:7 twist 5.56 marked barrel
Purpose: <200m range soft targets (some barrier penetration MAY be needed)

I plan to purchase 100 rounds of whichever one I go with so I won't be breaking the bank if i decide to go a different route later. Price is a non factor since there's such a minor discrepancy.

    The Contestants are:

    Hornady TAP FPD 75gr. $18.95 / per20 = 0.94/ea

    5.56 Nato Black Hills (MK262 Mod 1) 77gr. Sierra MatchKing Hollow Point $54.95/per 50 = 1.10/ea

    SPEER LE Gold Dot .223 64gr SP 24448 $19.95/20 = 0.99/ea

    What say ye?

If there is any chance of barriers, go with the SPEER 24448

I would also try to find the 5.56 TAP T2 for strictly indoor HD use as well. Don't even waste your money on the .223 TAP if you can find it in 5.56, its not the same round, and doesn't perform the same.

Also, MK262 Mod1 is decent, but is better suited for long range. At short distance, it is inconsistent in its performance.

Went with 100rds of this stuff on the grounds that it will be more versatile and I do not have specific criteria.

Before you buy a bunch of this make sure that you can actually shoot 5.56 in it. I have checked a few CMMG chambers before and some of them were tight.

Yep...that's why I'll be going with SPEER 24448...plus imo the performance per price factor is better with the 24448 anyway
