Midwest Industries Gen II AK handguards

This last year we have put down our ARs and picked up our AKs.

We have spent a tremendous amount of time going over our current AK handguard offerings, and looking at what new optic mounting solutions as well as features we could bring to the Kalashnikov styles of rifles.

We spoke to shooters in the industry and spent lots of time at the range. All of this with the goal of making the best AK handguard on the market.

With all of that said we are proud to introduce our Gen II AK handguard series.

I used the first gen rail. Overall, positive. Curious about a few things:
    1) Is there any height difference between the gen 1 and gen 2 for integral optic mounts?
    2) Why the replacement tube for the extended?
    3) Why rails in front of the integral optic mount on the extended?

Nice. Put some effort into a gen 2 VEPR handguard and you'll corner the market on those.

The Gen2 is the same lower one third for forward mounted optics
There is a replacement gas tube to keep the width of the top portion of the hand guard narrow as you dont have to deal with the stamped portions that hold the upper furniture on.
There is some rail in front of the optics in case someone wants to put a offset mount on the rail for some other accessory.

Glad to see you brought the weight down. But by how much?

The above says it will fit "most" stamped and milled variants...will they fit the Arsenal SAM7SF?

Going to second this. I've been thinking about picking up a VEPR at some point, and I'd like to have options available should I ever decided to start sticking tacti-cool stuff on the rifle.

Being able to install a co-witness RDS without needing to purchase a side mounting bracket also sounds nice too.

It's really hard to judge by the size, but that [critter] looks to be in the class of "Big Mother ****er" and perhaps the family of "Stay the **** Back"
