    Weight of total gun question

    I know the flames are coming but I have a question about the total weight of my build when complete. I am building a Spikes 14.5" mid-length pencil barrel with a vortex permed to make it 16". Stock is a CTR and mil-spec LPK. Unloaded, would that get under 6.36 lbs? MOE mid-length forearm. I am guessing just a shade over 6lbs, is that pretty close?

    edit: that's not including a rear sight.

    In heavenly love abiding, no change my heart shall fear;
    and safe is such confiding, for nothing changes here:
    the storm may roar without me, my heart may low be laid;
    but God is round about me, and can I be dismayed?

    Pretty simple

    8.33lbs loaded 7.24 unloaded, not too bad. Not great but not too bad.

    Thumbs up

    Thanks for the responses. I thought it would be close to 6lbs without rear sites or optics. I'll take 6.3 unloaded. I did not know what difference the mid-length would make on a pencil barrel if any or if there was something I was not thinking about. I am not looking to go uber lightest of the lightest but I wanted a quick handling, soft shooting, moderately light start before I got stupid with adding stuff.
