Why not a 3-15 or bigger? I run a 4-16 Steiner Mil on mine with a 6.5 barrel, at a 1000yds even that I feel is marginal. It one thing if you have a gun only capable of 600yds. I have let people look through my scope several time so they could see their hit even at 300yds.
I load 17-20.
I fire the first round to track my cold bore and then fire (3) or less 5 round groups. I make sure my first round isn't a target group, and my last round isn't a target group.
