LMT .308 MWS Pictures show us your setup

Hi all,

Looking at a second barrel for "longer range steel slapping". Currently running a 16" SS tube.

Any recommendations on length? Obviously there is the 18 & 20 offerings but I've also got the opportunity to go to any length I like... custom made.

Anyone got a 1000-1200m tube fitted?

Anyone have any experience running a SRS on their MWS? Ive had a couple SRS and have had nothing but terrible luck with them. I've had to send each one back to Trijicon to be fixed. However, I'm thinking about running it and seeing how capable it is. I notice most guys have variable power glass on their MWS but anyone with SRS experience I'd appreciate it.

As in a barrel that would be capable of 1000-1200m shots on target?
Sure won't be going that with .308 Win. The 6.5 Creedmoor or .260 Rem can get the job done, if the shooter possesses the skill set

Not many folks going to buy this gun and run it like a CQB gun. I like the idea of an ACOG with 3.5 or 6 power fixed. But not a RDS unless its offset to suppport a nice scope.

If you have had terrible luck, why go back and risk it again. Not many folks run them here, but if you already have one, sure. I put a Aimpoint M4s on my MWS but it has 13.5 and 14 inch barrels, and dedicated to the "inside 300" roll. But I have other 308 gas guns that took priority for multi use with LPV and 3-15 optics.

Like papabear said above, your best bet is LPV or other magnified optic such as an Acog to get the most out of it in a multi roll fashion.

I reach 1000 - 1200 with my AX308 with a 20" barrel.

Don't see why I couldn't in the right set up on the LMT dude.

Definitely agree. Between my shooting buddies we have 3 MWS, all with 16" barrels, and have run them out to 900m up at camp butner. Most of the time we don't even bother with 168/175 smk, just use hirtenberger or men surplus, and get hits without too much trouble on the angry ivans.

Agreed, Surplus ammo is getting better and better like many things manufactured. The 16 inch barrel will get it done.

Jwknutson17, that s pretty cool running a 13.5, no Very cool rig. I stamped my first LMT and bought a spare barrel, but never got the project completed. I bet that bad boy would still thump to 5 or 600 with a different optic.
