Ever inch helps when you run a can on one of these. I decided to cut the 16 factory barrel down to 14 and pin a surefire brake with the can. 2 inches less of dwell time is a big improvement in overgassed barrels. If I didn't already own a 13.5 barrel, I would have chopped down another 16 barrel to 13.5 instead.

Well, this LMT is pretty much in the DMR role now. It's weight is large and I don't plan on humping for any serious distance. Of course, I say that now........

If for nothing more to reduce gas pressure, I would do it in a heart beat.

Thanks! It's great! Although I've been messing with the Trijicon 1-8 which is also awesome. I can only keep one though and haven't decided yet. I was told 308 is a little much for coyotes, but I'm tempted to bring it out next time

The bigger the better. But in all seriousness, my hunting comment was more geared towards the tripod. I have been on some night hog hunts using tripods and just took it too em.

I think either optic will let you take advantage of the intended usage envelope of the MWS. Only thing I would choose if you had to have 1x or if the 10x is worth it for you. Or just flip a coin.

I'm trying to make nearly the same decision between my NF 2.5-10x24 and Accupower 1-8. Tough choice! The weight factor makes me lean towards the NF, though.

For those of you that shoot your MWS suppressed......what has been your POI shift? I shot some Federal 150gr power point and my MWS does NOT like that ammo. Cycled fine just horrible groups.....2-3 MOA!
Has anyone tried any subsonic.308 loadings with a can? What has been your experience? I read somewhere that the subs may not cycle and the MWS becomes a "straight pull" rifle. Thanks.

Gun will not cycle with subs. Federal power point, not surprised as that is not quality ammo. POI shift about moa maybe moa +
