Yes. I have 2 factory 6.5CM barrels. Both shoot 0.5 MOA and have gone out to 1,200 yards.

Once they are shot out, I'll probably go with a 24" to achieve a higher velocity.

God to hear you rocked some wind holds.

I'm not saying I rocked them .... It was a great class. It really shrank my 'where will it go' to a couple 0.1MIL- with the wind reading being my major weakness. Brian has a great way of explaining the theory and then getting down to what it actually means for the shot. He's a former Green beret and does rifle comps and does pretty well. His class is definitely geared towards the PRS shooter, at least the into classes.

I'm thinking about selling my LMT-MWS for a dedicated PRS bolt gun. I love the LMT, but my thought is to wring out all the accuracy I can out of the shooting platform so I can dial in all the position, wind and human variables. That will be easier with a 6/6.5CM bolt gun than a gas gun. The LMT 20SS barrel is accurate, but the gun moves a lot under recoil and sometimes I wonder what caused a errant shot- me, running the gun, or the inherent jiggle on gas guns.

That link to the video is alive when I look at it, but it should be at:

It's OK from a 'gun porn' point of view, but I don't think everything he says is 100% kosher. But maybe I'm the bacon.
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

For me the LMT provides a very good 308 platform...she might be a bit heavier and a bit more gassed...but its reliable..accurate...tanky and has lots of barrel options that are field serviceable. I use my 16" MWS Slick as a BR with an EOtech. I'll have pics shortly once I get some of the parts in I am waiting for.

I run a LM8 16" 308 chrome lined with Silencerco Omega. Love the gun BUT if you want to run it silenced, here's my 2 cents. I tried Tubbs spring, Heavy Buffer's buffer, and still had an occasional FTF when clean and oiled. I ended up with the RCA adjustable gas key (which I thought could never work) and was able to tune it perfectly and put back factory buffer and springs. Save yourself some pain and money if having cycling issues running a MWS suppressed and just buy the adjustable carrier and put on factory MWS carrier. I think it was around $50 and works amazing. Love my LMT but was about to go crazy running it suppressed.

We've got 2 LMTs that go along with our 762 Larue's for evals. These 2 are set up with the 3-18 on the FDE 16", and the other is the 13.5" with the 1-8...departments are interested in DMR applications for 308s if they agree that most of their overwatch duties are inside of 300m shots. Also more and more departments are asking to see options to better equip their overwatch teams for clearing stairwells, some hallways, etc without having to use a secondary weapon (lasers or offset red dots or the LPV like the 1-8 are what we let them test).

not pictured is another MWS 16" upper we have with multiple suppressor mounts so we can test 16" vs 16" head to head between suppressors. very helpful especially since so many here express interest in suppressing their LMTs, and that can be tricky without mods. That upper gives us one with Mlok, slick, and quad rail so people can see and feel what they prefer.

I have run mine with (16 CL Slick FDE) with a AAC 762 SDN and Sig 762 QD and SIG 338 Ti QD and the LMT really liked the extra gas extrusion of the 338. It doesn't cost like most 338 cans , its a $1k can. My gun throws brass at 3:30 and is very comfortable to shoot.

Nice glass you are running those weapons , well done.

I’ve got a few LMT’s in the safe but only one MWS. Here she is....

I recently picked up a scar 17 and I am now contemplating selling the MWS. I still like the MWS but the scar does everything I want it to and feels significantly lighter and more nimble than the MWS. I find myself not shooting the MWS anymore. I don’t know, maybe I’ll try out another barrel on it.

    Anyway here’s the new scar....

SCAR17 does everything well...good choice. Wish they would use SR25 mags from factory.
