Had a chance to get out and shoot today, and of course it ends up coming a wintery mix while my friend and I are out shooting. My friend just picked up his new bolt gun this week and we both were free this afternoon so we had been looking forward to getting to the range all week. Checked the weather at lunch and saw the forecast, but decided to go any way. Had a great time shooting in the cold, wet, freezing conditions.



I don't think I've posted a pic of my most recent configuration of my mws. Running a 20" 6.5cm barrel, which is the perfect long range addtion to the MWS IMO. Also, swapped from my NF F1 to the new leupold 6.5-20x m5a2 locking turret model scope.

M1A , what height rings or mount did you you on the Leupold? I'm thinking of getting that exact same setup on mine, but I have KAC BUIS on it and I'd really like to leave them on. Thanks.

I'm running the 1 piece 34mm mount from Badger. I didn't have a choice in height, it is the model made for AR's. I did choose the extended length version though which gives a 5" spacing between the rings.

I'd say there is plenty of room under the rear of the scope to mount a KAC buis.

Thanks for the info. I've had good luck with Badger before and I don't want to cut corners on this build. Might try them out.

Nope, it's the standard configuration; LM308MWSE.

Here's a photo of my LM8 set up before I let it go for a SR-25 ECC. Had the SS barrel and CL. It was very nice but I couldn't resist. The LM8 rail system/configuration is outstanding having both the MWS standard and LM8.
