I'm glad Okay is readily available these days. Nice to have a good usgi mag option out there.

Thanks for the link. I've been meaning to pick up a few 20 rounders.

Cool. I was just curious because some people have accidentally purchased the other GI mags and weren't happy when they found out that you can't just change followers.

Yea. Green, tan, and magpul followers have all worked out alright in my (limited) experience. I'm ok with any of them, but admit that I don't know what I don't know. Are there downsides to green?

I am referring to the USGI mags with the tannish colored follower. They use a proprietary spring and you cannot simply swap followers. You also cannot simply replace the spring either. So if they get worn out, you have to replace both.

Like most of us, I have a few handfuls of Magpul mags that I have acquired over the years.

After playing around and wasting time/money on the magazine "flavor of the week," I have settled on USGI mags with Magpul followers.

I keep my eye out of solid USGI mags for cheap, and snatch them up. I swap the follower and spring from a used Magul mag into the USGI body.

With the new testing from the Marine Corps and the buried testing from the Army proving PMAGs are the most reliable why would anyone not pick the latest gen PMAG?

It's not like any mags are expensive so why not choose the one proven the most reliable?

I don't want all of my eggs in one basket, so have both pmags and usgi mags (mostly nhmtg w/ magpul followers).
