    My New Build

    Hello,
After an 18 year layoff (kids) I am finally getting back into the shooting sports. Had an FFL for many years that I had to give up.
I am a LEO here in NY, in the past i have built close to 100 AR,s mostly for coworkers and friends. I can not remember how many Sendra lowers i had laying around back then. We used to have lots of fun with them.
Well i decided it was time to build a new AR. I wanted a collapsable M4 style weapon. Here is what i have
    Preban Essential Arms Lower
    Palmetto State Upper
Palmetto State Premium Complete Full Auto BCG w/Charging Handle
    Palmetto State Classic LPK
GreenMountain 16in M4 AR CL Barrel
    MOE Stock Kit DFE
    Yankee Hill Gas Block
    H Buffer added
Im using a TruGlo Red dot that i have at the moment, Have to decide what kind of optics and backup sight ill get, suggestions welcome.
As you can see i GunKoted the receivers, buffer tube, sight, delta ring and castle nut. I will kote the gas block and barrel after i shoot it a few more times.

    Range report:
I was very surprised how well the green mountain barrel shot. I had no experience with them.
This is a 100 yd 20 shot group. actually 2 10 round groups.
This was slow fire from a rest
    Ammo was handloads
    55 gr Win FMJ
    20.4 gr IMR4198
    WSR primer
    20 year old Norinco cases
Any suggestions and comments are welcome
    Thanks

Just get an Aimpoint H-1 or T-1, I used Troy BUIS, VCAS sling, and a weapon light. It's a great start.

Nice build and group. A set of Troys in FDE, an H1, tan G2 LED, and sling would complete that build nicely.

Pretty decent budget build. You may want a heavier buffer, perhaps an H3?

This gun is semi auto only. I have the HBuffer but i really would like this weapon to last. If the H3 buffer will take some of the stress of the cycle then ill go for it. I like the idea of the heavier buffer anyway. I have a YHM flip front sight tower with bottom rail on order and a friend has a Magpul rear sight for me.
I think i like the aimpoint micro T-1. Gonna keep an eye out for a sale.
    Thanks again
