Thinking about picking up a SCAR 17: any reason not to?

Two additional mags arrived today. Now I need a damn sling and decide between the x3 magnifier on twist off mount or wait for the ELCAN or S&B x8.

Putting a sling on this thing is a bigger PITA than I expected. Any suggestions?

Urban ERT with HK clips?

I've got a Trijicon ACOG TA33-9 on the rifle I'm planning to sell to help fund the SCAR 17S. Any particular reason this wouldn't serve as a decent optic for the SCAR?

When I pick up enough cash for my second SCAR 17S, that's the route I'm going. I currently have an Aimpoint M3 mounted, but I plan on using this in matches that go up to 200 yards max.

Urban ERT with HK clips?

I like the Urban ERT sling, but I don't like HK clips. He sells an adapter that uses 550 cord to attach to the sling loops that's perfect for this application. It's silent(unlike HK clips and MASH hooks) and doesn't eat the metal on your gun.
