I'm looking at the Protech FAV LP: http://www.protechtactical.com/pc-11...vert-vest.aspx

It allows us the option to don the vest alone in a vehicle (we don't wear them except during certain operations) and appears to be thin enough on the sides that magazine pouches can still be used on the belt. Many of us have gone to the UBL for our holsters instead of a drop-leg setup because it's closer to the draw we are used to on our belts, and the drop-leg requires a draw to the rear when seated. This vest seems to clear that setup.

The velcro MOLLE panel allows it to be worn without the panel if appropriate.

We're still rocking Blackhawk! vests (the ones with stitched on permanent pouches) over Unicor IIIa vests.

Check out BAE systems, I have one of their ECMPV vests and it works great with soft armor with the ability to add plates and to change carriers to Higher profile work.
