Need some recommendations...

...on a light that can be both weaponmounted and handheld for both white and IR.

basically, my pop is getting a PVS-14 from Larue and we're trying to determine a good route.

i gave him my IR filter that came with my surefire M951 weaponlight but i swapped out the incan bulb for an LED and, well, i'm keeping that light.

would like a QD capability so he can pull both the PVS and the light off the weapon and use them in stand alone application(s).

would prefer polymer construction as they're a bit cheaper. we've already got many an X300 so a primary light is not what we're concerned with.....thanks to all.

Surefire Vampire if you need dual white/IR in one package. Weapons mount it with some sort of QD and you'll just have to leave the QD on the light whenever you're using it in hand.
