I continued to fill out my billing/shipping info out and went to the last page where you put in your payment info.

    The receipt says:

    Shipping - UPS Ground $11.95
    COD Charge $0.00
    NRA Add-A-Buck $0.00
    Total $47.93

It didn't add any more charges besides the standard shipping, other than still warning about it.
Well I had done the same and made it to the payment page. Add 100 boxes of something and go that far. The shipping upcharge is never adjusted for being over 5lb. Now I have a real problem preauthorizing my card for something only to have them go back and add more charges. Maybe they actually won't charge the haz fee but $22.00 is a little excessive.
Do you even get down innagrass, bro?

Maybe a call or email to Brownells will clear this up.

I just missed them this afternoon but I don't think it's anything that can't wait until Monday. I will say the times I've called after waiting a good while the front desk support is not that helpful. If they thought grass grew on the moon they'd try to convince me of it before they talked to someone that really knew. I called about Daniel Defense upper receivers right after they sold out when everybody else was selling out to have a girl tell me they would definitely have some soon. That was four months ago. I took it with a grain of salt as you all probably should my rantings

Have you already ordered and paid yer money?? If not, ditch Brownells and find someone else. I have never had a bad experience with Brownells but I have never bought ammo from them either. Good lcuk.

Anything deemed as hazardous has to be shipped ground. I get the same message when I order cleaning materials.

Also, they cannot add additional charges after giving you the total. They need to ask for authorization if they are going to charge additional fees. That's a compliance issue if they do which they agree to when they signed an agreement to take credit cards.

This isn't being directed just to the OP. Please ensure that you post in the correct area. This has nothing to do with AR's. It is ammo related and belongs there. Often times we have to spend a few hours a day collectively to move threads. Please think about where you are posting and whether or not it belongs in that area. Thanks.
