It seems more and more companies are making 1911's in 9MM since ammo cost are so high.
I have a Kimber Aegis and love to shoot this thing! Any opinions or thoughts from fellow 1911 folks?

i was eyeballin' the ultra as a ccw. the black slide is a turn off for me though.
The 2nd Amendment : Washington didn't use his right to free speech to defeat the British, he shot them.
Yea I understand. I'm an old timer I guess:-) I got into two tone 1911's when they were the bomb in the 80's loved em ever since.
I imagine Kimber could refinish it since it's a custom shop item.
I bought a Nighthawk Talon II in 9mm four years ago. Using Wilson Combat mags, it runs like a champ and eats everything but steel case ammunition.
The 9mm 1911 is an excellent option for practice and even for SD or carry when necessary. I prefer to carry the .45 acp version though. I'd rather have the larger caliber in a lower pressure round than the 2 extra rounds in 9mm and all that entails. (no caliber war please, I'm not knocking the 9mm at all!)
In God we trust...All others we investigate!
Nope no caliber war please! With the new ammo the last few years the difference is probably minimal anyway.
I love my Nighthawk FLX double stack since to me it gives me a caliber I really love, 9mm, with all of the strengths from the platform (ergonomics, trigger, etc).

I just had my NHC Talon 9mm out at the range yesterday. When I bought it a couple years ago, it came with Tripp CobraMags so I bought several more of them and so far, I've had no FTF's. It really is a lot of fun to shoot (especially since 9mm ammo is cheaper to shoot than .45 ACP).
This is mine:
I'm sure hearing what I wanted to. That is they are popular and getting more so. Taurus is coming out with a stainless one soon.
