Which LC 5.56 load had the primer stakes?

I've been picking up brass this summer, and some of the LC I've been getting has the 4 primer stakes on the head.

Do you boys know which load that is that people are shooting? That staked brass makes for good reloading brass.

I've gotten quite a bit of it the last few matches I've attended. It's just M193 with 2011 LC brass.
It actually decaps easier and swageing take less effort with my Dillon super swage 600.

It keeps a nice tight primer pocket. I like the brass. Those stakes will work harden the head a little more.

I want more of this brass.

I agree and have been segregating the ones I get once fired for my bolt gun loads. I FL size and trim once on the XL650, then neck size up to 3-4 firings befor annealing and going to FL again.

I set them aside thinking they were going to suck. I was wrong.

IIRC LC made the change for the M855A1 and implemented it on all of there 5.56 brass.

I thought I remember reading something along those lines.

I started seeing it on XM193 brass during classes or range time this year.

Yeah. All the M4 needed was MORE pressure issues eh?

I literally would NOT fire that 855a1 in any of my guns if it were given to me.
