Lurking a while and finally joined up. Been into guns all my life but mostly handguns and shotguns. Picked up a new Smith and Wesson MP15T, put on the Burris TAC30 and finally got to the range yesterday. Wow, was that fun. Was hitting clay pigeons at 200 yards after messing around for a little while. These guns rock! Also, this is a very informative and helpful site to learn from. Thanks everyone.

Cincinnati born and raised. Recently moved to Eastern Kentucky. I thought years as a Drill Sergeant in the Army made me an expert on these rifles. After lurking for a few months I know that I am mistaken. There are some serious experts on this board and I love their wisdom and insights.
