I'm not quite clear on your meaning. This is an NFA upper. I don't think there are any rails that will fit this configuration that will allow you to mount a light at the 12 position.

What I'm wondering is: Is there a benefit to having a FSB which is only acting as a sight instead of running a 12" rail over the barrel and putting a fixed LMT/Troy/etc sight or something behind a x300?

This set up is for those who prefer to have a fixed FSB with slightly more sight radius, have a longer rail and still maintain an short package. All things considered I will probably mount the X300 on the side as I don't think the little backsplash/ shadowing will be that bad based on my previous experience.

Put some rounds through this upper later in the day. Incredibly smooth with the A5 lower set up. The other guy with me couldn't believe how smooth the weapon cycled and stay on target.

We fired some PMC bronze, XM193 and some Federal AE 223 and 20 rounds of Herters 62gr. HP. Next outing will be to get a good zero and then some accuracy testing. Maybe even som chrony testing as well.

That Vltor A5 is fantastic. When it runs Herters and other shit Russkie ammo, and it feeds and cycles perfectly, you Know something is done right.

Were gunna get you out there at 0 dark thirty for some fun and Gunz.

My good conscience will not allow me to get up that early- on a weekend no less! We popped over to the Goodyear for our deeds. The weather was warm but nice.

He's definitely up for a night shoot if I can get you two Yahoos onboard.
