Revolver Picture Thread

While there was a limited run of the 5" Highway Patrolman made expressly for FHP. The revolver in question is definitely a model 27. The beautiful high polish blue, the tgt hammer and the fine checkering along the topstrap are all the hallmarks of the top of the line 27.

This particular variation w/ the 5" bbl is sometimes know as the "Skeeter Skelton" revolver, as it was his idea of the ideal all-around "Packing Pistol".
It's one terrific sidearm to be sure! Nice catch!

Thanks. One type of S&W collecting I do is date specific. Month/day/year is the hardest to find as the individual pieces must have factory letters @ $75/per. The 4" M&P .38 is a Jan. '47, the rest are Nov. '47 guns. The only gun that is waiting a letter is the K-22 Masterpiece on the left. Better pic of that one...
