    sling question?

2 occasions had a single point sling come loose and put a rifle on the ground. 2 different slings both with q.d. spring loaded snaps. anyone else have this happen ?

solution ? the first time the rifle was not damaged as my leg took the front post before hitting the ground, the second time not near as lucky.

I typically don't trust that QD crap. But I have one QD attachment that I got from BCM which seems to be better than the junk I've seen guys struggle with over the years.

ALL the rest of my slings are secured with Para Cord. What kind of QD socket and loop were you running?

the first was a cheap midway like the web page picture and the second is the crosstac. the socket was not the failure.

Ah... Ok. I thought you meant those QD socket systems. Never tried the system you have.

HK snap hooks are known to be failure prone. Switch to MASH hooks or quality QD hardware and your problem will go away. Don't buy cheap stuff.

I almost went to MASH hooks at one point. I think a buddy had a bunch in his misc box. Never did try them though..

I agree. Guys like to spend money on hardware though.
